Safety Systems Interactive Online Audit Tool
(AS/NZS 4801)

The new focus on business today is to provide a paper trail of evidence with supporting documentation to clearly demonstrate compliance with OH&S industry standards and legislative requirements. Indeed the courts have determined that a proactive OH&S management system is necessary, in fact essential, for a valid defence at law. The use of the Safety Systems Diagnostic© will provide this evidence of a proactive approach to managing occupational health and safety in the company.

The Safety Systems Diagnostic© produces scored audit results, performance graphs and automatically generates action item lists. It also facilitates the development, implementation and on going monitoring of corrective actions to completion. It is fully compliant with Australian standard AS/NZS 4801 and international standards OHSAS 18001 and BS 8800.

The Safety Systems Diagnostic© gives a company/OH&S Manager the ability to continually assess the gaps within their OH&S management system on a state or national level, and provides guidance for the on-going development and implementation of appropriate programs, processes and systems espousing the philosophy of continuous improvement.

Environmental Management System (EMS) Online Interactive Audit Tool
(ISO 14001:2004)

The EMS Online Audit Tool has been custom developed by Workplace Safety Australia Audit Tools to support your organisation's HSE manager or HSE personnel in undertaking internal Environmental Management System audits. The use of the EMS Online Audit Tool will (1) provide a system to measure objectively work being done to develop, implement and continuously improve your organisation's Environmental Management System, and (2) guide the development of an Environmental Management System from scratch.

When companies are faced with a prosecution, the company will often struggle to convince a Court that they have adequate management systems in place. This is a result of inadequate documentary evidence available to demonstrate the company's development and implementation of their Environmental Management System. The EMS Online Audit Tool can help overcome these difficulties.

It is important to highlight that the Workplace Safety Australia Audit Tools EMS Online Audit Tool, can be used by any organisation manufacturing or producing any product, or providing a service anywhere in the world.

The EMS Online Audit Tool has a number of advantages, including simplicity and ease of use. The EMS Online Audit Tool audits against all requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and is customised into 18 simplified elements. In practice, Elements 1 to 17 are simply completed by the auditor online at their desktop (master audit). Element 18, is used for on-site audits that measure the effectiveness of the implemented environmental management system and can be used to audit multiple sites of the company. The results of these on-site audits are then attached to the master audit to provide a complete audit outcome for the entire organisation. The measured audit outcomes provide valuable information on the level of compliance to ISO 14001:2004 by the various sites. The EMS Online Audit Tool produces (1) scored audit results with percentage scores for compliance levels, (2) generates corrective actions for system non-compliance and (3) prints illustrated and coloured graphs for information dissemination (for example for a tendering process, management reviews, etc).

The use of the EMS Online Audit Tool will allow a company total control over conducting their own internal environmental management systems audits. In the current financial climate it is important to remember that a single annual fee for the EMS Online Audit Tool makes sound commercial and economic sense, as compared to an external auditor at rates of around $1500 per day. Licensing the EMS Online Audit Tool would allow a company to complete self audits of their Environmental Management System continually throughout the year.

The EMS Online Audit Tool should become the driver for sound environmental practices within your organisation.

Eighteen (18) Elements of the EMS Online Audit Tool
